Okay, so I’ve survived another week of my Project 365. I’ve heard this is supposed to get easier as time goes on, but so far I’m still struggling. I think the big problem is that I forget to take my big girl camera with me. The other problem is that I haven’t perfected a consistent editing style for indoor lifestyle photos that are in non-natural light areas. I feel confident in my lifestyle photos that utilize the beauty of natural light, but given that it is winter and the days are so short (and often cloudy), we are spending more time inside with lamps and lights on. Here’s hoping that I can get to a point where I’m happier with these photos. At the very least I know if I can survive until spring then I should be okay as there are so many more options for me once the lighting changes in my house and once it isn’t so gloomy outside. Learn more about my 365 Project. Without further delay, here is Week 2 of my Project 365:

/366: My husband and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary on January 5th. The past year has been really good to us–probably one of the best since we’ve been together. My husband began a new job (with much better work/life balance); our son continued to thrive and grow; we went on 2 major family vacations and did some improvements to our house. We celebrated at the Cheesecake Factory using giftcards from Christmas. Cheesecake tastes even better when it’s free y’all.

/366: My desk. It was back to school day for my munchkin. It has been fun having him home for the holidays, and we have had a ton to do (his 4th birthday party, visits from the Parker clan, Christmas, etc). However, I was pretty excited about his return to school so I could get back into my work groove.

/ 366: Road tripping it to Nana and Grandpa’s house. This was around hour 6 or 7 and Mr. Man was DONE with the whole car thing.

/366: Boy goes bowling. We decided to do some family bowling while in Baton Rouge with the Parker clan.

/366: Road tripping our way back to Texas. Stopped at a convenience store and the little dude got to pick out a snack which was apparently a BIG DEAL for him.

/366: I am a serious introvert. While I enjoyed visiting Baton Rouge, I love coming home. One of my favorite hobbies is doing jigsaw puzzles. Spent the night of Jan. 11th doing a puzzle and recharging my introvert battery.
