As a DFW baby photographer, one of my favorite things to do is get out my camera and photograph real life. I have been sticking to my personal Project 365 for 16 weeks now! I confess that it is getting harder, and I often lose motivation. I am searching my heart and mind for inspiration right now, and I’m hoping it comes swiftly.
We are enjoying the warmer weather as a family and getting outside a lot. I believe H has around 50 days of school left, and I can’t wait for him to be home. I have missed him during this first year of big kid school. I am looking forward to having both boys at home, and I will continue to photograph our summer adventures. Plus, I have a lot of summer babies on the books who are scheduled to visit my DFW residential baby photography studio.
In the meantime, we are thrilled that spring is here. Every now and the Mother Nature keeps throwing us shade, but overall things are looking sunny. We are just keeping on with life, and I’ve not much else to report. I suppose that is a good thing though, because that means life is going according to plan and it’s fairly smooth at the moment. Enjoy week 16 of my project 365.

When it’s 80-something outside and we want to swim but the water is still too cold, we heat up the hot tub and make it like a mini-pool. Baby J loves the water so far, and he doesn’t even mind all the splashing from big brother. Between the two boys I have no hope I ever doing my hair this summer because it will always get wet in the pool. Side note: why do men and boys not understand when women say they don’t want their hair splashed? Is it really THAT HARD to grasp? I’ll give the baby a free pass, but the adult man and the 6 year old are just trying to push my buttons.

See this dog. We love him so, but in the last week he cost us nearly $1,000 in medical bills and also a new rug. Argh.

Happy place. My husband was home and able to watch the baby last week, so I had the great pleasure of spending time with a friend last week, and then followed it up with a solo trip to Target. #mombliss

Season’s first sno-cone at the school festival.

H getting his Saturday morning workout in. He is usually at school during my workout time, but on weekends he will often join me for a few minutes. This time, he dressed to impress. He decided he wanted to look “like an athlete”. That meant red track pants, a neon camo dry-fit shirt and a gold medal from his Boy Scout rain gutter regatta win last year.

Love that kids can make friends with anyone, anywhere. H made a new, fast friend splashing around at the park last weekend.

Slimy baby. It’s teething time again. J had a third tooth pop out over the last week. Plus, his allergies are flaring up. Between the two problems, we have much drool and much boogery-ness. But, he is still our cute, gooey mess.
