Another week, another set of Project 365 images from your favorite DFW baby photographer. I was glad that I did a little better this week at remembering to get my photos taken before the last bit of the day. Still not my best week, but that happens sometimes. Hoping that once school starts back up for my older son that I will feel more energized and start getting a little more creative with these images.

I know “mom culture” says my favorite place should be Target, but it’s not. It’s Half Price Books. I am a regular patron of the local library, so it is not often we go someplace to buy physical books, but, when I do, Half Price Books is the jam. H clearly agrees.

I am always telling people that Baby J is a bit of an onry fellow, and they don’t believe me. But, if you are around our family for any length of time, you will quickly discover that Baby J has opinions about things, and he has no problem letting you know what those opinions are. Exhibit A, titled, ‘Judd in a stroller.’

Summertime means I hate heating up the oven, so we do A LOT of grilling and A LOT of crock pot.

Countdown to vacation. H made a construction paper sun, and each day he chops off one of the sunbeams as a countdown to the beach.

One of H’s “bucket list” items for summer was to open his own bank account. Yes, I know he’s a weird child. I finally got the gumption to physically go into the bank and deal with this, so that pretty much made H’s week. He has been telling EVERYONE he encounters about his new bank account–the desk worker at the gym, the grocery store cashier, all of our visitors. A few days after opening his account, a ledger and letter of confirmation showed up in the mailbox and his excitement was reignited all over again.

A lovely summer rainstorm came through Saturday night–something that almost never happens in August. Our satellite service went out as well, so it was a great time to pull out the Scrabble board.
