Another week of my Project 365 is complete. It was a kind of an intense week. I’m not sure if it’s just because the weather has caused a lot of my older son’s activities to be rearranged, thus wrecking havoc on my schedule, or if we are just over committed period. Last week I juggled one adult ballet class, a Cub Scout meeting, two hour-and-a half long soccer practices, one after school reading event, a swim lesson 45 minutes away, one rescheduled photo session, one date night, one Cub Scout popcorn selling event, attended a birthday party, went to church and had a well check up visit for the baby. My son actually cried on the way home from soccer practice last week. I mean, big alligator tears. He was extremely overtired, and was crying about everything and the kitchen sink–including memories of our dog who passed away two months ago. I felt so bad that he was that overtired, but it is understandable. I felt overwhelmed and exhausted too.
Hoping this next week is a little better, but just glancing at the calendar I have a feeling we are in for another crazy fest.

H feeding Rufus. We lost our other dog, Bailey, in July and now Rufus is not doing so hot either. Just trying to capture these everyday moments with our fur baby before we have to say goodbye.

Brotherly love. Reading time and a snack.

Hubby working on my closet. It’s undergoing a transformation, and I can’t wait to have proper built-ins so I can organize. My Type A heart is eagerly awaiting the final reveal, although with his erratic schedule I have a feeling this project is going to be in the works for a few months.

Baby adventure time to the indoor playground. I remember taking my oldest to all these places when he was a toddler/preschooler. One benefit of having my kids 5.5 years apart is that I had tons of one-on-one time with my oldest, and now it’s like the best of both worlds because my kids have a sibling, but I still get to enjoy that one-on-one time with the baby since big brother is in elementary. So excited that Baby J is becoming a full blown toddler and starting to enjoy outings like this.

Holden making himself an after school snack.

Cub Scout popcorn sale event on a rainy Saturday morning. H was so excited for this moment, and his little stand was quite successful.

I heard on the news this morning that it is the wettest September on record in DFW. We are going crazy over here, and I was so glad the rain let up Sunday afternoon so we could visit the park. Granted, we only got about half an hour of park time before the rain started again…but it was a necessary outing.

Baby had his 15 month checkup and got four vaccines at once. Boo boo legs.
