Mr. E is one of my “Baby Steps” clients, meaning I had the great honor of photographing him every few months throughout his first year of life. It is so amazing to watch these little ones grow! Mr. E has had a special place in my heart this year because he is such a little chunky monkey. If I remember correctly, he was right around 10 lbs at birth! My own little boy was a 9 lb guy and he always had that super chunky, tank-like look to him for the first year/year and a half. So watching Mr. E grow up and go from the cutest, most squeezable little butterball into a toddling boy brings up a lot of memories for me of my own little dude.
We traveled to the Dallas Arboretum’s “Pumpkin Village” for Mr. E’s final installment/1st birthday photos. I have photographed at the Arboretum many times, but I have actually never gone into the actual Pumpkin Village during the fall. Can’t believe what I was missing–that place is awesome. Working around the crowds was a bit of a challenge–especially because Mr. E is basically running at this point! However, in the end we were able to capture some really cute ones.
