I got to celebrate Baby E’s first birthday yesterday with a cake smash! Mr. E has been walking since 9 months, so he was basically running during his 1st birthday cake smash. I was telling Momma how all my cake smash babies the past few months have been 1 year old walkers–what is it with these spring and summer babies being little tots already?
Mr. E’s mom brought in all sorts of cute nautical themed decor for his cake smash, and we tried to take advantage of as much as possible while also chasing around a little boy covered from head to toe in icing! I love how his images show both parts of being one–the big, silly grins and then the cry face. It seems like everything around this age is one way or the other–not so much middle ground. So I personally thought it was adorable and worth capturing to have documentation of Mr. E’s pout face as well as his happy face.
