One of the greatest perks of being a DFW baby photographer is getting to observe family’s as they grow and change over time. I first met the Z family about four and a half years ago when they welcomed their oldest son. He is an October birthday, and the first and ONLY baby I have ever photographed inside a pumpkin. His mommy is great at crafting and planning special touches that make her children’s photo shoots all the more fun.

Now they have a new member of the family, Baby Charlie, who is turning ONE next weekend and I was so honored to do his first birthday cake smash photos. Plus, Charlie’s mommy did not disappoint as she came armed with the cutest “Where the Wild Things” are setup. Seriously, mom made the cake, the banners, the little polka dots….all of it. My son turns one this week as well and Charlie’s mommy put me to shame in the birthday decor department. I’m basically kind of jealous.
