This DFW baby photographer has a confession to make. This was my worst Project 365 week yet. I totally phoned it in this past week. I don’t have a particular reason. I was busy(ish), but not any more so than usual. I just wasn’t feeling it, and I slacked. I mean, in the end I guess I did get my photos in. However, the results are fairly lackluster and I’m not digging it.
I guess I will have to resolve to do better in Week 19!

My son informs me there are only 19 days of school left. I am looking forward to summer fun, but I know I will also miss the routine and structure of school life. I love his little space backpack hanging in the hallway. One day it will be replaced with something boring and sterile, like a Jansport. Is that a 90s kid thing, or are Jansport backpacks still a thing?? Anyway, one day this hook won’t even have a backpack on it and my boy will be grown and gone. So, I felt like “let’s document his backpack with the little yellow folder poking out.”

Would you believe me if I told you this particular day started off pouring rain? It was gloomy and looked like the apocalypse outside mere hours before this photo was taken. The skies cleared, but the playground was still soggy. Thus, I took H for his inaugural splash pad visit of 2018. I was worried he might be too grown up to enjoy the splash pad anymore, but clearly I was wrong.
