Just a little update from this Ft Worth baby photographer as we enter week 7 of the Judd chronicles.
The all-nighters are finally tapering off, and my little guy is (usually) up for only one overnight feed now. He is just over 7 weeks, and those baby smiles are a welcome reward for the many days and nights of newborn craziness. We love him so, and I was finally able to get one teeny, tiny grin on camera. Love that he is making better eye contact and showing some personality. Since J and his big brother are basically my only subjects at the moment, I am taking lots of photos around the house!
Things are generally settling into more of a schedule, which makes me super duper happy. I LOVE routine and one of the most difficult things for me about having a newborn in the house is the constant not knowing what each day will hold and when baby will nap or for how long, etc. We are’t in a totally stiff schedule yet, but there is certainly some consistency from day to day and I am excited about the next few weeks when I think I can firm things up a bit.
I’ve also had to re-learn some of the things I implemented with our first born. My oldest is now 5 and a half, so there is a LOT that you have to pull out of your brain and remember from those early days. I am so glad with the second child to have the benefit of being more experienced and knowing that this too shall pass. Now, the next step is just working on getting childcare squared away for later this year, and updating my pricing and such so I can return to consistent work. Miss you guys and hope to be back up and running soon.
