Trophy Club Family Photographer |Keller Mini Session Preview

I held the third set of H. Parker Photography DFW 2014 Fall Mini sessions this past weekend at Bear Creek Park in Keller. While this is a fabulous park, I don’t often photograph at Bear Creek, just because it is very crowded on weekends and it can be tough to get away from the joggers, bikers, etc. However, this little gem of an area was a tree lined trail on the southside of the park and it ended up working great. Plus, I had several amazing families and young ones to work with.

I offer family mini’s each fall at various locations across DFW on pre-appointed dates. These are a great option for clients wanting to update their family photos before the holiday season. A big thanks to my lovely model, Miss A, for visiting this morning and demonstrating my “Simply Sparkle” Christmas Mini 2014 setup. Christmas Mini’s will be held November 16th at my in-home studio in Roanoke. I have four remaining slots, so make sure to book ASAP if you want to grab a spot. Just a quick FYI- sessions are 20 minutes long, so if you have more than 3 kiddos you will need to grab two spots back-to-back.

Trophy Club Family Photographer |T&P Warehouse Mini Session

I held the second round of H. Parker Photography Fall Mini sessions this past weekend near the T&P Warehouse in Ft Worth. This is such a fabulous, urban location and the great thing about this location is that we didn’t have to contend with soggy mud from the big rains that came through the evening before. I was really sweating it with 100% chance of rain predicted days before these sessions, but the rain cleared out just in time. We had to contend with a bit of a fall chill, but that should have made all the Dad’s in heavy fall sweaters feel a lot happier.

I photographed another gorgeous family lifestyle session earlier this week with a family in Lewisville.

Miss B is three months old, which is great for family lifestyle sessions because I could capture her wide and awake. She’s at that age where babies are smiling and just generally happy. We spent some time playing in the nursery and snuggling downstairs. She was an absolute doll–only getting a little grouchy with me at the very, very end of our session.

I met up with this lovely family yesterday morning for a mix of family and 1st birthday photos. We met up in this hidden gem of a park over in Frisco–it has some great stonework, open grass, mature trees and an itty-bitty creek running through.

These guys were major troopers. The city had definitely been liberal with their watering of the park, so we experienced a lot of mud and ants! They just kept smiling through it and I think we captured some really great images.

Trophy Club Family Photographer |Southlake Mini Session Preview

‘Tis the season for family photos, and I kicked off H. Parker Photography’s family Fall Mini’s over the weekend at the Bob Jones Nature Center in Southlake. This is such a great, rustic location and I had the added bonus of renting a gorgeous, golden settee from Rent My Dust over in Grapevine. I am just positively in love with every family’s images–it was basically next to impossible for me to pick a select few for these previews.

I offer family mini’s each fall at various locations across DFW on pre-appointed dates. These are a great option for clients wanting to update their family photos before the holiday season. Trophy Club Family Photographer |Bilberry Family

This precious family met with me this past weekend at Bear Creek Park in Keller for some fall family photos. It was unseasonably cool for a Texas September, but I don’t think that was any consolation to Dad who was wearing his holiday sweater in 80 degrees! All I can say is…you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to get those perfect family photos. Hopefully the outcome will show it was all worth it!

Their little girl, Miss E, has absolutely gorgeous blue eyes. I have photographed her since she was a newborn, and every time I sit down to edit I am awed by those beautiful baby blues. Given our history together, I know Miss E isn’t the biggest fan of having her photo taken, but thankfully she was doling out the smiles and happy faces for our fall family session. There are some amazing shots of Miss E solo, as well as some very candid, special family photos in the bunch.

Trophy Club Baby Photographer |Miss N First Birthday

Miss N and her family met up with me this past weekend for some first birthday/family photos. They picked a great day–one of the first ‘starting to feel like fall’ mornings we’ve had!

Miss N was really great considering she had a full hour of photos. Most babies her age would have at least one meltdown, but she just kept going through the whole thing. We even coaxed a few smiles out of this very serious little girl.

Mom brought along some great props, including a photo of Miss N as a newborn. The idea is for Miss N to take a photo each year that shows her holding an image from her last birthday–such a sweet sentiment.

I met up with this awesome family earlier in the week for some family photos before their son heads off to the Navy. It was definitely a hot, steamy August afternoon, so major props to these guys for toughing it out.

I spend a lot of time photographing young children, babies and families with very young children, so it is always nice to get to be around adults. They listen so well–hehe!! Plus, I am inspired and happy whenever a family takes the time and effort to coordinate pictures with their teen and adult children. I know it will be a great thing to look back on one day and have good documentation of how their family has changed over time.

This mama-to-be has no business looking this great on a hot evening in August with only weeks left until her little baby girl is born. She is really stunning, and I love how her photos turned out. We had a typical hot August evening to work with, but the setting sun was our friend and helped add a special, warm glow to everything.

I love working with expecting moms and documenting those last days of pregnancy and the excitement and anticipation of waiting for the newest family member. Such a special time in a family’s life, and I am honored to be able to participate in that.
